Program Policy
The rules, rights, and responsibilities that govern the Continuity Program.
Effective Date: January 1, 2024 | Last Updated: April 2026 | Operated by: Plethoryt
1. Submission Policy
1.1 All manuscripts submitted to the Continuity Program must be original works authored or co-authored by the submitting party. By submitting, the author confirms that they hold the right to distribute the manuscript through this platform.
1.2 Manuscripts must not be simultaneously submitted to another platform that prohibits dual submission. Authors are responsible for ensuring compliance with any existing publication or distribution agreements.
1.3 The submitting author is considered the primary contact and is responsible for representing all co-authors and confirming their consent to submission.
1.4 Submission is free for all access types. Open Access approval is always free. Royalty Plan approval is subject to a minimal processing fee applied after approval — authors are notified of the applicable fee before it takes effect. Submissions are not charged at any point during the submission process.
1.5 Submissions are non-refundable once entered into the review process. Authors may withdraw a submission prior to editorial assignment by contacting support.
2. Review Policy
2.1 All manuscripts undergo an editorial screening before being assigned to reviewers. Manuscripts that do not meet minimum quality or scope requirements may be desk-rejected without full review.
2.2 The review process is single-blind: reviewers are anonymous to authors. Authors' identities may be visible to reviewers depending on submission details provided.
2.3 Review outcomes include: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. All decisions are communicated to the submitting author via the platform dashboard.
2.4 Final decisions rest with the Continuity Program administrative team, which may override reviewer recommendations in exceptional circumstances.
3. Open Access Policy
3.1 Authors who select Open Access agree to make their manuscript freely readable by any visitor to the platform. The author retains copyright; readers are granted a non-commercial, attribution-required license to read and cite the work.
3.2 Open Access manuscripts may not be re-hosted or sold by third parties without explicit written permission from the author.
3.3 Submission and approval of Open Access manuscripts are always free of charge.
4. Royalty Plan Policy
4.1 Authors who select the Royalty Plan agree to set a reader access price. Access purchases are processed through the Plethoryt digital store.
4.2 Submission is free. A minimal processing fee is applied to Royalty Plan manuscripts after editorial approval. This fee is separate from, and does not affect, the author's royalty earnings. Authors will be informed of the current fee schedule before acceptance is finalized.
4.3 Authors receive up to 70% of each verified purchase. The remaining 30% is retained by Plethoryt to cover platform operations, review processes, affiliate shares and infrastructure.
4.4 Royalties are calculated on the net purchase amount after any payment processor fees. Royalty balances are disbursed monthly, subject to a minimum threshold communicated via the author dashboard.
4.5 In cases of purchase reversal, chargeback, or refund, the corresponding royalty will be deducted from the author's pending balance. Plethoryt is not liable for losses due to fraudulent purchases beyond its control.
4.6 Authors may change their access type from Royalty Plan to Open Access upon request to the administrative team. Changes take effect within 5 business days. Access type changes from Open Access to Royalty Plan require re-review and approval, and the applicable processing fee will apply.
5. Affiliate Policy
5.1 Affiliates earn commissions when: (a) an author submits a Royalty Plan manuscript using their affiliate code, and (b) a reader purchases access to a manuscript submitted with their affiliate code.
5.2 Commission rates are set by the platform and may be adjusted at any time with 30 days' notice to active affiliates.
5.3 Commissions are voided in the event of manuscript rejection or purchase refund. Affiliates who engage in fraudulent referral activity will be permanently suspended and forfeit unpaid commissions.
5.4 Affiliate commissions are paid monthly alongside royalty disbursements, subject to minimum thresholds.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Authors retain full copyright over their submitted manuscripts. The Continuity Program holds a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and make available the manuscript solely for the purposes of operating the platform.
6.2 Plethoryt does not claim ownership over any submitted manuscript. The platform name, logo, and branding are the intellectual property of Plethoryt.
7. Content Standards & Removal
7.1 Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content, fabricated data, or ethical violations will be removed from the platform immediately. Authors whose manuscripts are removed for cause forfeit any accrued royalties from the affected work.
7.2 The Continuity Program reserves the right to embargo or hide any manuscript pending investigation of a complaint or for administrative reasons, without prior notice to the author.
7.3 Authors may request removal of their manuscript by contacting support. Removal requests for Royalty Plan manuscripts will be processed within 10 business days and may result in forfeiture of unpaid royalties for the final payout period.
8. Privacy
8.1 User data is handled in accordance with the Plethoryt Privacy Statement. The platform collects submission data, contact information, and usage analytics to operate and improve the service.
8.2 Author names and institutional affiliations are displayed on approved manuscripts made available through the platform unless an embargo or anonymity request is approved by the admin team.
9. Amendments
9.1 Plethoryt reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users via email. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any amendment constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
